As part of the alterations to the building facade fronting the Queen Street Mall in proximity to one of the main entrance to the Wintergarden, the proposed new internal fit out of Nespresso required an unusual curtain wall. Bailey Interiors was commisioned to create a plaster curtain, designed to mimic the natural shape of soft curtain drapes. The main challenge was the weight of each panel, which was overcomed by embedding polystyrene into the plaster panels.
The Sydney Plasterworks range is now manufactured by Bailey Interiors since being acquired in 2013, making Bailey Interiors the largest manufacturer of decorative plaster in Australia.
